OVER 100KG HARVEST:
122kg of harvest between the 13 sites producing various fruits and vegetables. All sites donated 100% produce back into the South Etobicoke community to the Daily Food Bank and LAMP CHC Good Food Market.
INCREASED ACCESS TO KNOWLEDGE:
8 educational community workshops conducted between July – October 2016 to learn about gardening, inexpensive meal prep, and healthy alternatives.
MORE ACTIVE AND ENGAGED COMMUNITY:
More than 100 local residents, community organizations, non-profits, educational and financial institutions supported the project.
SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Opportunities created for student internships, a program evaluator, and workshop facilitators.
